  Living Rosary – intention for June 

With Pope Francis, let us pray.

  In his prayer intention for the month of August, the Holy Father invites the faithful to join him in prayer “that political leaders be at the service of their own people, working for integral human development and the common good, taking caring of those who have lost their jobs and giving priority to the poorest.” We ask this through Christ, our  Lord. Amen

St John Vianney Catechism classes prepares the young and adults for baptism, first holy communion and Confirmation. For further information about the classes and the preparation course please be in touch with us either by email or WhatsApp

 Extraordinary ministers may distribute Holy Communion at Eucharistic celebrations only when there are no ordained ministers present or when those ordained ministers present at a liturgical celebration are truly unable to distribute Holy Communion 

  This liturgical service is a response to the objective needs of the faithful, especially those of the sick, and to those liturgical assemblies in which there are particularly large numbers of the faithful who wish to receive Holy Communion. 

Our Altar Servers assist the Priest during the Mass and cover all weekend Masses, together with special services, in particular at Easter and Christmas.

All servers renew their pledge on St Stephen’s Day (26th December) each year, when cords and medals are awarded in recognition of their length of service.

Sunday School

 A person who proclaims God's Word at Mass is known as Reader or Lector. 

The lector must believe what they proclaim, that Sacred Scripture is the Word of God, and so treat it in such a way, with deep respect, and preparation for the effective proclamation of God's holy word. The first lector was Jesus.
